Brielle Gorrell (she/her) is a poet, co-host on The Black Studies Podcast, and a second-year PhD student in English at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests include 20th- and 21st-century African American literature, Black feminist theories, Black expressive culture, English composition and multiliteracies, and poetry and poetics.
Before attending the University of Maryland, she had studied at Florida State University and Rutgers University- New Brunswick and obtained an MA in English (concentration in African American Literary and Cultural Studies) and a BS in Public Health (double major in Africana Studies).
